The USS Wisconsin and Fort Monroe

On a weekend morning before leaving for the Outer Banks, we walked through the older area of downtown Norfolk. Urban renewal is in full swing and we observed that the Saturday night life was active. On Sunday morn, we had the West Freemason Street District and the USS Wisconsin pretty much to ourselves.

Then it was a drive on/under the bridge/tunnel to Hampton, Virginia, and Fort Monroe and its Casemate Museum.
