Get a little tropical!

While in Encinitas for a family reunion, I had a free morning and visited the USS Midway Naval Aviation Museum. The two links below offer excellent overviews of this ship's history during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and Operation Desert Storm. The USS Midway was the Navy's longest serving aircraft carrier and over 225,000 sailors served on her. San Diego's vibrant downtown is only steps away from this Navy legend. Read about "Midway Magic."
